Rethinking Informatics Education – What, How, and Are We Satisfied? 🌟

DIGITAL FIRST is on a mission to match the informatics education to the needs of today’s children, the digital natives, born in a digital world and arriving at school education already with a certain level of digital skills. 🚀

Our first webinar is an occasion to hear about the results of our transnational research on the theory and practice of teaching informatics in primary and secondary schools across 10 EU countries.

Following a welcome and introduction by Maja Šarić from Algebra University coordinating the DIGITAL FIRST project, speakers from Vilnius University leading the transnational research will share with us the main highlights:

📌 What do we teach? Informatics education, computational thinking, and digital competence, Prof. dr. Valentina Dagienė

📌 How do we teach? Online survey results about actual needs and expectations of teachers, Prof. dr. Remigijus Bubnys

📌 Are we satisfied? The voice of students, parents, and other stakeholders, Odeta Šapelytė and Prof. dr. Aušra Kazlauskienė
