Who is this programme for?

This study programme is designed for those who aspire to teach independently in the first and second educational cycles of primary school.

Reasons to become a teacher:

  • Broad knowledge across various fields.
  • Creative work with young learners.
  • Career advancement opportunities (from trainee to principal).
  • Continuous professional development.
  • Connections with European education systems (exchange programmes).

What is study like?

The study programme is engaging, diverse, challenging, and interdisciplinary. Where else can you explore didactic and technical aspects of modern media, psychology, pedagogy, philosophy, sociology, sports, foreign languages, geography, history, mathematics, Slovene language and literature, natural sciences, music, and visual arts-all in one place?

Classroom Teaching is like a miniature university. The programme is highly dynamic, offering more than just lectures. You’ll engage in practical classroom work, field learning, hands-on exercises, and excursions. Additionally, you can develop your strengths by selecting elective courses tailored to your interests.

If you gain sufficient English proficiency through elective courses during your undergraduate studies, you can pursue a master’s programme in Teaching at the Primary Level with English. There is a high demand for teachers with this qualification, as they can teach English in primary education.
