Workshop - Sensing into 4E cognition: Bringing lived experience back into cognitive science

Friday April 5, 16:00-19:00, and
Saturday April 6, 10:30-13:30
Faculty of Education, Kardeljeva ploščad 16, 1000 Ljubljana (Little gym downstairs)

We are happy to invite you to the upcoming two-day workshop Sensing into 4E cognition: Bringing felt experience back into cognitive science. The workshop will be facilitated by Erin Bell, performer and somatic practitioner based in Berlin, and Annika Lübbert, neuroscientist at UKE Hamburg. Through practical exercises, Erin and Annika will invite us on a felt exploration of modern approaches to explaining cognition and social understanding in cognitive science.

The workshop is open to participants with all experience backgrounds, ages and mobilities. It will be held in English (with the possibility of translating to Slovene). The event is free and there is no need to sign up. It is designed as a two-day process: if you can only come one day, you are welcome to join us on Friday.

"Our research is guided by a shared interest in exploring subtle interactive experience with a playful attitude, and the intuition that these explorations deeply affect our lives in direct and pragmatic ways.” - Erin Bell

“Giving lived experience space and a warm welcome, being ready to engage seriously with it, and allow it to change without great drama - these are abilities very much needed in science and anywhere, to discover and put into practice ideas we consider important. Let’s play with that!, especially as a professional culture devoted to understand understanding.” - Annika Lübbert
