Conditions for Enrolment and Criteria for Selection in the case of Limited Enrolment

Conditions for enrolment

Anyone can enrol in the master’s study programme who has completed:

 

A) a first cycle study (Bologna) programme in preschool education to the extent of 180 ECTS;

 

B) another first cycle study (Bologna) programme to the extent of 180 ECTS or 120 ECTS, in which the graduate has gained a the title of ‘professor’, or a first cycle study programme from the area of education, art, the humanities or social sciences.

 

In all of the stated cases, prior to enrolment the candidate must complete all of the study obligations that are required for the continuation of study to the extent of 10-60 ECTS.

 

C) the high school professional programme Preschool Education to the extent of 180 ECTS.

 

D) another master study programme to the extent of 180 ECTS or 120 ECTS, i.e., a programme in which the graduate gains the title of ‘professor’, a master study programme from the area of education, art, the humanities or social sciences, or a high school programme in social work. In all of the stated cases, prior to enrolment the candidate must complete all of the study obligations that are required for the continuation of study to the extent of 10-60 ECTS.

Criteria for selection in the case of limited enrolment

  • the average grade achieved in undergraduate study (40%)
  • achievements in the field of preschool education (e.g., publication of professional and scientific articles, prizes, participation in projects, leading kindergartens) (30%),
  • a selection exam, in which the candidate demonstrates a familiarity with and overview of the desired field of study (30%).

Conditions for Advancement through the Programme

The are no special conditions for repeating a year.

Conditions for Concluding Study

In order to conclude study the student must gain all of the foreseen credit points from all of the appropriate parts of the programme. In this regard, credit points gained in other higher education institutions both in Slovenia and abroad (mobility) can be taken into account, as can credit points gained on the basis of recognised knowledge and skills (see point 4) providing these points have been gained in accordance with the UL Statute and the rules of the FEd, and have been confirmed by the faculty organs.

 

With regard to the provisions of the previous paragraph, candidates who enrol in the second cycle programme Preschool Education must gain at least 60 ECTS in a FEd UL study programme.
