Art Pedagogy

The basic goal of the study programme is to equip students to execute a quality educational programme for pupils on both the class level and subject level in primary school and secondary school (The Primary and Secondary School Act) in cooperation with a team of teachers, professional workers and parents.

While attending the obligatory subjects of this programme students become familiar with and understand the specifics of the artistic development of the individual and how to nurture this development. They gain theoretical and practical knowledge from the design fields of drawing, painting, graphics, sculpture, architectural design and visual communication for arts activities in the primary and secondary school (for the curriculum of the primary and secondary school). In the elective subjects of the programme the students gain a deeper knowledge in their interest areas.
