Research

During the preparation of a doctoral dissertation and a few years later he was involved in research in the implementation and analysis of experiments with isolated rat heart at the Faculty of medicine, University of Ljubljana. Another research area concluded in 2010 was related to behavior of bees.
However, most research work is linked to area of science and technology education, focused on the use of data acquisition systems (DAQ) in pre-higher education praxis. Development of novel state of the art DAQ systems, sensors, actuators, device models, etc, was followed by preparing teaching materials, articles, lectures at conferences, etc. Computer based laboratory and early teaching of robotics were a basis for a number of bachelor theses, a couple of master works, and one doctoral dissertation. The said area was also the basis for a series of national and two European projects.
From 2008 he cooperates on research of effective initial teaching of electronics and robotics. Research is focused to teaching materials and pedagogical approaches related to the practical implementation at the summer cams for participants from 12 to 16 years. On this subject, he is a supervisor for three PhD student at the recently introduced doctoral programme at the Faculty of Education.
