Special and Rehabilitation Pedagogy
The basic goal of the programme is to equip students for the quality execution of the continuum of programmes of inclusive educational and rehabilitation work with people with special needs in various organisational forms, institutional and informal environments and in all life periods. In the process of education, students of special and rehabilitation pedagogy will acquire:
- the basic theoretical knowledge and understanding of the fields of fundamental and specialist pedagogical study and of the rehabilitation of people with special needs,
- the competences required for practical operation in the area of the verification and assessment of special needs, as well as of the planning, execution and evaluating of programmes implemented for these people,
- the competences required for communication and team work with professional school workers and with the parents or guardians of people with special needs,
- additional knowledge in the selected areas (facilitated by the selected subjects as well as the seminar and project work of students),
- the fundamental knowledge that will enable ongoing professional development in the process of lifelong learning.

Conditions for Enrolment and Criteria for Selection in the case of Limited Enrolment
A. General conditions for enrolment in the programme
Anyone who has passed the matriculation exam or has, prior to 01.06.95, completed any four-year secondary school programme, is entitled to enrol in the stated study programme.
In principle, the number of enrolment places in full-time study is 45 and in part-time study 20.
B. Criteria for selection in the case of limited enrolment
If a resolution on limited enrolment is passed candidates will be selected with regard to:
- general success in the matriculation or concluding exam - 60% of the points
- general success in the 3rd and 4th years - 40% of the points.
